The Gray Sea

You know my fervent
hopes, my pleas that you decide
to stay in my arms,
but like the gray sea
of this late autumn morning,
like the slick washed sides
of the creatures there,
you slip free and go. I can't
keep you home this time.
This forces me out
of my dream. I must admit
I no longer know
your true and private
name.

  1. To the world you wrote
    Not a good day

    in response I give

    Miles Deep

    Blinded by the light
    I sat in a corner
    Cradling my own mind
    glass surrounded me
    For miles in waves
    A see of shattered memories
    Miles deep
    Not able to see
    I can still hear
    Cries from those depths

The chicken crossed the road. That's poultry in motion.
